Legal Disclaimer

Effective Date: April 30, 2026

1. Not Legal Advice

RERALex is a legal research platform. It is not a substitute for legal advice from a qualified advocate or attorney.

Information available through RERALex — including judgments, headnotes, ratio decidendi summaries, AI-generated analyses, citation graphs, and any other content — is provided for informational and research purposes only.

2. No Attorney-Client Relationship

Use of RERALex does not create an attorney-client, advocate-client, or any fiduciary relationship between you and:

  • The Company
  • Any employee, contractor, or editor of the Company
  • Any author of editorial content

3. Independent Verification Required

Before relying on any judgment, citation, statute, or legal proposition found on RERALex, you MUST:

  • Verify the original judgment text from the official court/tribunal source
  • Confirm the current status of the law (overruling, amendments, repeals)
  • Check that cited sections are current at the time of your matter
  • Consult a qualified advocate for application to your specific facts

4. AI-Generated Content

Where RERALex provides AI-assisted features (search, summaries, Q&A, brief generation):

  • AI outputs may contain errors, omissions, or fabrications.
  • AI may misinterpret legal nuances, jurisdictional differences, or factual distinctions.
  • Citations generated by AI must be independently verified before use.
  • AI is not authorized to practice law and cannot replace professional judgment.
  • The Company is not liable for any reliance placed on AI outputs.

5. Currency of Information

While we endeavor to keep our database current:

  • Judgments may be overruled, distinguished, or modified by later decisions.
  • Statutes may be amended or repealed without immediate reflection on the Platform.
  • Notifications and circulars may be superseded.
  • Treatment indicators (followed/distinguished/overruled) are computed algorithmically and may be incorrect.

You bear sole responsibility for verifying current legal positions.

6. Source Attribution

Judgments on RERALex are sourced from official RERA Authority and Appellate Tribunal websites. Where source PDFs are linked, those represent the authoritative version. Any transcription, OCR, or formatting on RERALex is for convenience only.

7. Editorial Content

Editorial content — including headnotes, ratio summaries, catchwords, and case digests — represents the opinion of RERALex editors and is not a substitute for reading the full judgment. Errors in editorial content do not modify the underlying judgment.

8. Citation Format

The "RLX" citation format used on RERALex is a proprietary internal citation system. It is not an officially recognized law reporter citation. For court submissions, use officially recognized citations from the original source.

9. No Warranty

The Platform is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranty of any kind, including:

  • Accuracy or completeness of content
  • Fitness for any particular legal purpose
  • Uninterrupted or error-free operation
  • Freedom from viruses or harmful components

10. No Predictive Value

RERALex does not predict case outcomes. Any "outcome" or "trend" data is based on historical judgments and does not guarantee any future result in your matter.

11. Jurisdiction-Specific Laws

Indian law varies by:

  • Central vs. State legislation
  • Each State's RERA rules and procedural orders
  • High Court interpretations within different jurisdictions

Verify applicability to your specific jurisdiction before relying on any case.

12. Third-Party Content

Links, references, or attributions to third-party content (court websites, government portals, news sources) do not imply endorsement and we are not responsible for third-party content.

13. Limitation on Use in Court

When citing RERALex content in court:

  • Cite the original judgment with its official citation, not the RLX citation
  • Verify the judgment text against the official source PDF
  • Do not cite RERALex headnotes or summaries as authoritative — they are editorial content
  • Do not cite AI-generated analyses

14. Reporting Errors

If you identify an error in any content, please report it via:

  • Email: editorial@reralex.com
  • In-app: "Report Issue" button on every judgment page

We will investigate and correct verified errors. However, users remain responsible for independent verification.
